These three methods can solve the problem of oil immersion in powder injection molding metallurgy
Oil immersion methods can be divided into ordinary oil immersion, heating oil immersion and vacuum oil immersion.
Ordinary oil immersion: soak the cleaned sintered products in engine oil (generally No. 20 ~ 30 engine oil). The oil is immersed into the pores of the product under the capillary force of the product. This method has low oil soaking efficiency and long oil soaking time, which takes several hours. It is used in products with low oil content.
Heat and soak in oil: put the sintered products cleaned by green removal into hot oil at 80 ~ 120 ℃ for 1 hour. As the product is heated, the air in the connecting pores expands, so that part of the air is discharged. After cooling, the remaining part of the air shrinks again and sucks the oil into the pores. Because the hot oil has good fluidity and high lubricity, more oil can be immersed into the product. The efficiency of this oil immersion method is higher than that of ordinary oil immersion method.
Vacuum oil immersion: put the cleaned sintered products into the vacuum box, seal and evacuate to - 720mm Hg, then put engine oil into the vacuum box, heat it to 80 ℃ and keep it for 20 ~ 30 minutes. Since the air in the product communication hole is extracted, the oil can be immersed in the product within 10 minutes. This method has high oil immersion efficiency and fast speed.
Another form of this method is to extract the air from the vacuum box containing the product, then pass the preheated oil into the vacuum box, cover the product, and then connect the vacuum box with the atmosphere, so that the oil can quickly immerse into the pores of the product.
Oil immersion of powder metallurgy porous antifriction products is an important process, which can increase the corrosion resistance, improve the wear resistance and prolong the service life of powder metallurgy products. After sintering, the iron-based oil-bearing is immersed in oil, and the lubricating oil enters the pores of the product. When the shaft rotates, it will have dynamic friction with the sleeve and generate heat, so that the bearing temperature will rise, the oil will expand in case of heat, flow out of the pores to the shaft and the shaft sleeve for automatic oil supply, and the formed oil film plays the role of lubrication and antifriction. Immersion in oil can also prevent oxidation of products.
